Clansey Flautt

Clansey is the daughter of Mike “Catfish” Flautt and the late Hedy Pennington Flautt of Swan Lake, Mississippi. She graduated from Pillow Academy in Greenwood, where she was the point guard of a MAIS Overall State Championship team and received the MAIS Player of the Year award her senior year while leading the Lady Mustangs to a 40-2 record. After high school, she attended Ole Miss and received a B.A. degree in Management. She was also a member of Tri Delta Sorority, serving as Social Chair. Upon graduation, she worked for the Nashville Sports Council, helping promote teams and events in the Nashville area. She also spent several summers in Nantucket working at the Ropewalk restaurant.

From there, she moved to New Orleans and worked for AmeriCorps, where she interviewed and hired Teach for America teachers. Additionally, she worked in the Orleans Parish School District (New Orleans) for five years as a Math Teacher. Her next stop was Houston, Texas, with Summer Energy, a privately held electric company, where she handled electrical grid purchases for her company. While working in Houston, she also attended Tulane University and earned an M.B.A. degree. Clansey moved back to Mississippi three years ago to help her dad with his hunting business, Tallahatchie Hunts, and to help him manage some ongoing health issues.

As a lifelong Ole Miss fan, she is enjoying being back in Oxford and getting to be a very competitive Pickleball player.
