Elisabeth Alexander

For more than twenty-five years, Elisabeth Alexander has poured her energy into the nonprofit world, building the kind of behind-the-scenes operational know-how that keeps organizations running smoothly and missions moving forward. That deep well of experience is exactly what she brings to the Oxford Film Festival, where she helps turn big creative visions into well-run reality.

Elisabeth's passion for independent film runs deep — she believes in the power of stories told outside the studio system, and in the artists brave enough to tell them. But her love for the Festival goes beyond the screen. She's equally energized by community outreach, by the idea that film can pull people together across every walk of life, and by the simple joy of watching a packed room of strangers share a laugh, a gasp, or a standing ovation over a film they never would have found on their own.

A proud two-time graduate of Ole Miss, Elisabeth has called Oxford home since 1993, and her roots in this town run as deep as her love for the Festival itself. Yet she's far from a homebody — an avid traveler, she sets off on several international adventures each year, chasing new landscapes, cultures, and stories!
